people honestly need to stop flaking. its one of the worst moves in history. i have recently been trying to make plans to see a friend from my old town following his birthday. i know we both want it to happen and that it is going to happen, its just taking a few weeks longer than originally figured because he cant just say that its not the best week for it. instead its just a matter of beating around the bush for four days until it gets obvious that its gonna have to be pushed out two weeks. just say that its not the best time initially. im not gonna be mad. i would rather you just say that at first and then we can actually make a legit plan for the upcoming.
this has been happening a lot lately. apparently all people my age happen to have a commitment issue. im not asking for anything major, we dont need a contract or anything, just say whether its gonna be a yes or a no because i have learned that anything that is not a yes should just be taken as a no. maybes, i don't knows, we'll sees, etc.. all just code word for no. just say it, come out with it, be nice about it if you feel the need to, but at least just let me know. again, im not gonna be mad, it would just make it a lot easier on both of us.
a lot of people probably think im bitter about something but thats not how it is. im simply trying to state for the sake of everyone, and even talking about myself in the whole flake game, that everyone is better off if it just gets made obvious or not whether you actually want to do something. if there actually is something that isnt determined yet, then point it out and followup on the plan once it is figured out. dont just leave people hanging and certainly dont say your gonna do something if you are hoping that it just dies out. everyone calls other people flaky and you may think you have a great track record but either way its happened to you on both sides of the spectrum. iv been working on it lately and iv seen that people get less annoyed if you are just straight with your answer. either way, i recommend eating corn flakes instead of flaking.
